Personal data policy

General

Tickster registers and processes its customer’s personal data on behalf of Ishockeyklubben Oskarshamn (henceforth referred to as the Organiser). Personal data is processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, GDPR). The term “personal data” refers to information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a person.

The Organiser is the personal data controller and is responsible for processing your data. Tickster is the personal data processor.

Legal basis for processing personal data

The legal basis for collecting and processing your personal data is based on formulations in the General Data Protection Regulation regarding compliance of agreements, consensual and legal and regulatory requirements.

Purpose of personal data processing

Your personal data will be processed in order for the Organiser to fulfil its obligations towards you.

Completion of the order could, for example, consist of delivering the service or additional services that you have ordered and, where needed, the ability to implement customer administration and customer care.

Your personal data may also be processed in order to satisfy the obligations set out in laws and regulations, such as the applicable security measures.

Processing can also include data concerning contacts between you and the Organiser, such as notes on issues and complaints.

By disclosing data on special dietary and personal requirements when reserving a place, you consent to us processing this personal data for the purpose of providing the service or additional service that you have ordered.

If you actively approve the receipt of direct marketing, your personal data will be used to provide a range of offers of services and/or products from the Organiser and the organiser’s partners.

In addition to the above purposes, you agree that your personal data may be used as a basis for marketing and customer analyses, as well as risk management and statistics in order to develop the offers and services of the Organiser and Tickster.

You can unsubscribe at any time, or customise the offers you receive from the Organiser or organiser’s partners.

We only save data about your date of birth when you register as a customer at tickster.com, by telephone to customer support and when purchasing over the counter. Your personal identification number is not required. Your date of birth is used to ensure that the purchaser has reached the minimum age for the ordered service, and to maintain the security required for payment transactions on-line when selling event tickets. Your date of birth is used for statistical purposes as a way of improving Tickster’s system as well as assisting the Organiser and its partners to create better and more relevant offers.

The personal data that is collected

The Organiser processes personal data that you disclose to us. Personal data that will be subject to processing includes, but is not limited to; name, date of birth, address, e-mail address and telephone number.

Once you have ordered, we can also process data such as requests for particular dietary needs or special information from you regarding your personal requirements when reserving places for the event or otherwise within the context of the customer relationship.

You disclose your own personal data when ordering from tickster.com, by creating a customer page at my.tickster.com, by telephone, by email or when ordering over the counter or from the Organiser or ticket agent.

When you provide personal data about other people, you must be sure that these people consent to it and that you have permission to provide the data. If appropriate, you should also make sure that they understand how their personal data may be used in accordance with this personal data policy.

Disclosing personal data is optional, but in some cases we cannot provide you with the service you have ordered unless you disclose your personal data.

Storage of personal data

We store personal data as long as it is necessary in order to meet the above objectives. By ordering a service through Tickster you agree that your personal data can be stored by the Organiser and Tickster for three years.

If you make a new order via Tickster within three years of last order your personal information will be saved for another three years from the new purchase date.

We will never process your personal data for a period longer than permitted by the applicable laws, regulations, practices or governmental decisions. For example, data may be stored longer if stipulated by the Consumer Purchases Act or the Accounting Act.

In order to keep your personal data up to date and accurate, we may supplement and update your personal data by retrieving it from commercial and public records.

Who is permitted to process the personal data?

Your personal data will be processed by the Organiser and Tickster. Your personal data may also be processed by the Organiser’s partners, such as exhibitors, hotels, travel companies, local partners in the event area and by the providers of administrative services and system services that have been engaged by the Organiser.

By disclosing your personal data you agree to us processing your personal data outside the EU and EEA. In cases where personal data is processed outside of EU/EEA, there must either be a decision from the Commission indicating that the third country in question must ensure an adequate level of protection, or the appropriate safeguards must be in place in order to ensure that your rights are being protected.

In order to offer the safe processing of event tickets, Tickster utilises a number of external services for profiling and verifying purchasers and payment means. Handling of this kind may result in certain data being transferred from the EU/EEA area in compliance with the preceding paragraph.

By actively accepting our terms and conditions on tickster.com, purchasing over the counter through the Organiser, ticket agent or Tickster, upon purchase or assistance by email or telephone, you agree to the gathering and processing of your personal data as specified in this document.
